Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So about 5 days ago I received an electric shock from an outlet while being wet. It zapped me for about 3-5 seconds until it blew out of my hand and my arm flew back. Since then I have had headaches and the pain in my arm has gotten worse and worse. Today my arm is so sore I am almost in tears. I have taken Tylenol but it does not seem to help. Should I seek medical attention or will this go away? I am at a loss as to how to treat this. Please help!!!
I am sorry for the accident you had. Fortunately, you are alive although in pain. As the pain you feel in your arm is really unbearable and getting worse and worse, I'm afraid it got broken.
I highly recommend to go to ER and get immediate medical help there. You should run X-ray or MRI of your arm to understand what happened.
The people there at ER will help you with that. Avoid moving your arm and ask for medical health as soon as possible. Should apply analgesic cream locally. Continue taking oral analgesic medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
